Prospectivity Mapping

Also referred to as mineral potential mapping, prospectivity mapping involves the analysis of all available exploration data sets, the extraction of mineralisation-relevant factors and identification of mineralisation signatures and the ultimate integration of these into a single "prospectivity" map.

A number of techniques have been developed to construct prospectivity maps, including:

  • Index Overlay,
  • Algebraic Combination - Developed by Spatial Analysis Services,
  • "Weights of Evidence" (Bayesian) combination,
  • Adaptive "Fuzzy" Logic,
  • Artificial Neural Networks (ANN).
  • Vectorial Adaptive "Fuzzy" Logic - Developed by Spatial Analysis Services

Spatial Analysis Services has over 17 years experience in mineral prospectivity mapping and can analyse you data using any or all of the above techniques.
